The Solutions

                  Finally, we decided to put sub-title into the scenes with unclear conversation. And it looks great! : )

Another problem we found yesterday was that the video file saved in flash drive could not be open at the classroom computer. However, after discussions, we agreed to try combining all files into one movie file and write it onto CD-R. Moreover, we would upload the movie file on YouTube to be used as backup, in case the CD doesn't run properly.

This morning, I have just watch through the movie and found that my friend has mistakenly skipped out one scene. I have already told her about that and the movie will be edited and ready to be presented (with hope!!) after then. :D

As this is supposed to be the last blog explaining about the process of making this video assignment, I, as our group's representative, must apologize all audience for any mistakes or inappropriate conversation and action found in the movie. Lastly, any comment are welcomed.

It is not easy as planned....

There were several obstables and problems occured during the vdo making process.

On last Saturday, We appointed each other to meet at the Mall Bangkapi at 5.30 p.m. Unfortunately, it was raining heavily at the time, making we strucked on the road (b'coz of traffic jam) for 2-3 hrs. We finally arrived there at about 7-8 p.m.

First of all, Kanta and I walked around to find the appropriate location for our scenes. While waiting for the other members, we discussed for the scripts and changed some plots and scenes. The time had passed until 8.20 p.m. that we did start recording!!

Then, we found that the surrounding noise was so loud that disturbed the conversation. So, we decided to let one actress use the mobile phone to record the conversation while the vdo was being recorded.

About 1 and a half hour later, we just finished the 1st scene and we decided to depart. Again, the traffic was very bad due to the flooded road. - -* Finally, I got home at nearly midnight time as my house is the farrest (near Central Rama 2)

Yesterday, we continued the 2nd scene at AU Bangna. It went quite well except that we forgot some scripts and queue. Anyway, the result was appreciable.

Last night, Suphannikar began editting the vdo using Movie Maker program. According to my conversation with her, there were some problems along the process.
1. The conversation voice is not consistent, most of the time is too low.
2. We don't know what program should be used to change the .amr file (audio file) to be .mp3/.wma so as to be able to put in the vdo.
3. The editting was not quite smooth. (we are not professionals!) -*-
4. There are still 2 main scenes not yet recorded, but the current vdo time is already up to 6 mins.!!!!
(We are afraid that it will take too much time, making audience bored before it ends.)
5. The surrounding noise was far much louder than the conversations.

The Beginning of Going Green

Location
                We plan to record our video at 4 places, which are The Mall Bangkapi (IT stores), AU Bangna (classroom), AU Huamark and the member's house.

Plot of the story

In the BIS2180 classroom
                 A teacher is teaching students about the concept and practical usage of Green Computing.
(The teacher's explanation will be illustrated in the form of short roleplays)

1. Swith off the screen when not used

At the break time, two girls sitting together
                 Gift is surffing the internet on a notebook. She then goes to the toilet. Kukkik immediately switches off the screen. 5 mins later, Gift comes back. She turns the screen on but say nothing although a little bit puzzled. Kukkik does the same everytime Gift goes to do something away from the notebook regardless of the time being away. -*-

2. Buy only energy efficient electronic products
At The Mall
                  A group of friends are shopping a new computer. They help each other reccommend and select the best brand products.

3. Use LCD instead of CRT monitors
At Namwan's house
                   Namwan is getting mad of her old CRT monitor and decided to buy a new one. Her sister suggests buying LCD because of several better benefits.

4. Proper Dispose of electronic products
                   Namwan is carrying her old CRT monitor to throw away in a trash bin, but her sister resists that.
She tells that the monitor can be recycled if sent to the recyling center.

In the classroom
                   After the lesson is finished, the teacher dismisses the class. Not surprisingly, she found that all students are already asleep!!


We are going to begin the assignment tomorrow. ^_^
